Núria Vilà (b. 1992) is an independent journalist and documentary filmmaker based in Istanbul (Turkey) whose work focuses mainly on topics related with resilience, conflicts, inequalities and human rights.
She has reported from the Turkish-Syrian border (2 months), Amman (Jordan, 8 months) and Palestine (1 month). She has published in several Catalan, Spanish and Latin American media, such as ARA newspaper, El Confidencial, GARA (naiz.eus), CTXT, Infobae, Brecha magazine, Mediterráneo Sur (M’Sur), Luzes magazine, MurrayMag, Crític, la Directa, Ràdio Terra and El Punt Avui, among others.
The first documentary film directed, written and edited by her is called ‘SKY. The Weird Syrian Kid’, and has been produced in Amman alongside the Royal Film Commission of Jordan.
Also she has been involved on sociopolitical movements for positive social transformation and she has developed a project about civil disobedience and how is considered by media. This work is available on her website: nurivilcom.wordpress.com.
